Venete Group
The Italian group of steel plants ACCIAIERIE VENETE SpA (family Banzato) with headquarters in Padova, is one of the most important private European steel producers in the long products area.
After the takeover of the Lucchini plants Mura, Dolcé and Sarezzo in September 2003, ACCIAIERIE VENETE has grown to be the most complete European supplier for flat and square profiles in high-grade and special steel grades. The annual steel production of the group amounts to approximately 2 million (metric) tons that are spread over five Italian production facilities.
SIPRO STAHL SCHWEIZ has entertained a close business relationship with ACCIAIERIE VENETE SpA for many years. From November 22nd 2006, this relationship has been additionally consolidated by establishing a common sales company under the name VENETE Siderprodukte AG with seat in Geroldswil (Switzerland).
Among other things, the exclusive distribution rights were entrusted to VENETE Siderprodukte AG for the following countries and sectors:
- Ordinary steel (merchant bars), high-grade and special steels for Switzerland
- High-grade and special steels for Germany, Benelux countries, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
